A friend of mine mention Orion to me knowing I'm a huge smoker/griller, been at for over 30 years.
You name the type of grill and or smoker and I've owned it. Side-box, standup, even made my own pit out of cinder bricks once.
But this Orion smoker/griller is a game changer (I bought the Original Wood Chips Vertical). Right off the bat its easier smoke, by a lot. You just set your meat close the top and light the fire and walk away. Just come back in the allotted time and its done. And done perfect. Perfect bark, Perfect tender meat, etc.
Cooking like a conventional oven accelerate the cooking time by hours which saves time and money. I use less than half the charcoal and half the wood chips I used to have to use.
What I LOVE the most is the charcoal is outside away from the meats so no toxins from the charcoal are actually getting the to meat. You're only cooking with heat and smoke if you want to.
My first cook was a Peking duck, it came out perfect! Next I made beef ribs, OMG you should have seen the bark on those puppies.
Lastly, its so easy to clean. It takes me maybe 10 minutes to clean up where in my regular smoker it took over 30 minutes of cleaning out the smoke box, the grills, the ash, the leftover grease, etc.
